 Cell phone policyMinimize

Students do not need cell phones at school. We are happy to share our main office phone!   If you choose to send your student to Goddard with a cell phone, please understand our world:

Students bring expensive gadgets into our building at their own risk

All electronic devices — that means ALL — are to be turned off at the front door and stored in a locked locker throughout the day.

In general, students will receive one warning. After that, the phone or gadget will be sent to the office, and your student will get to visit with an administrator to retrieve it.

Classroom telephones may be used by students with the permission of the teacher to report to parents about homework, projects, or staying after school for study session with the teacher.

A phone will be made available in the main office for students who need inform parents of a last minute change in after school ride arrangements, to stay for school-related activities or study. Permission to accompany a friend home from school should be arranged before this time.

The clinic phone will be used for health contacts primarily, and as back-up for the main office phone when needed.
