General Announcements:
Chess club will begin meeting Monday, September 8 during core plus in the cafeteria. Come and play and learn new strategies!!!
 
If you like to knit, or have always wanted to learn how, please come to the knitting club. Our first meeting will be next week on Tuesday, September 9th. Please pick up a flyer in Student Services if you are interested.
 
Any 6th or 7th grader that would still like to order a Core picture, please bring your order form to the office by Monday, September 8th. Any orders that are dropped off after the 8th will be charged a late fee.
 
Goddard students – don’t forget to turn your magazine sales in on Monday to get the best prizes. The prize list is posted in your classroom and around the school.

Today’s lunch is pizza combo, fish sandwich, PB & J sandwich, chef salad with bread, French fries or oven baked potatoes, tossed salad or veggie with dip, choice of chilled fruit, cookie, small salad, veggie sticks, and milk.

General Announcements:
Attention all students interested in becoming a member of the award winning Goddard Jazz Band.  Audition materials are now available in the band room, number 101. If you play: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass or drums, you are eligible to audition.  The jazz band is open to all grade levels so anyone can join. Auditions will be held in two weeks on Sept. 16th & 18th in the band room after school. See Mr. Farrell in room 101 if you have any questions.

Please join us today in room 232 (Mr. Holbrook’s Room) from 2:45pm to 4pm for Scrabble Club. We had a great time last week. Everyone is welcome!
 
Our first 8th grade Track Meet is today after school. Please come out and support our students and your friends! Everyone is welcome!

Today’s lunch is chicken patty on a bun, mac and cheese, PB & J sandwich, chef salad, French fries or oven baked potatoes, bread, tossed salad or veggie with dip, choice of chilled fruit, rice krispie treat, small salad, veggie sticks, and milk.

General Announcements:
Attention all students interested in becoming a member of the award-winning Goddard Jazz Band.  Audition materials are now available in the band room, number 101. If you play: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass or drums, you are eligible to audition.  The jazz band is open to all grade levels so anyone can join. Auditions will be held in two weeks on Sept. 16th & 18th in the band room after school. See Mr. Farrell in room 101 if you have any questions.
 
Student Council will be starting next week.  All students are welcome to join. We will be meeting on Tuesdays after school in the lunch room.  The first meeting will be Tuesday Sept 9th.
The Goddard Gallop is coming up!!  It’s only 1 month away, on Monday Sept. 29th.  Start running now and start getting in shape for the 2.2 mile fun run! It’s good for you, and good for your health!!
 
Any boys interested in trying out for the Heritage High School Basketball feeder team, please pick up a flyer in Student Services.

Early bird Successmaker students – we do apologize for the problems this morning. Mr. Christensen is fixing those problems and we will have Successmaker tomorrow morning.

The first National Junior Honor Society meeting for all members is today after school in the cafeteria.  Attendance is mandatory for all members.
 
Attention Track athletes: Only 8th grade Track will have practice today after school.
 
6th graders playing flag football please meet in the gym after school. You must have your yellow permission slip with you.
 
            Wednesday
There is no practice for 7th or 8th grade Track Wednesday after school.
 
            Thursday
Attention photographers and writers:  Yearbook time is here!  Our first meeting will be held Thursday, September 4th in Room 118.

NJHS officers have their first meeting on Tuesday after school in the cafeteria.  The first meeting for all NJHS members will be on Tuesday, September 9th after school.  Please mark your planners.  Attendance is mandatory.
 
All 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls interested in trying out for the Heritage High School Volleyball Gold Crown feeder teams should pick up a flyer in Student Services. Tryouts begin tonight!
 
Hey 6th grade girls – do you want to play volleyball? Come to Ms. Stiles’ room, Thursday after school to get information!!! Room 207, see you there!
 
 Activities:
7th and 8th grade track begins today! Please meet the coaches in the gym after school. You need to have your yellow card to participate. We’re going to have an awesome year!! See you after school!
