The Colorado Student Assessment Program (CSAP) tests will be administered from Monday, March 12th through Monday, March 19th for 8th graders (Monday March 12th through Friday, March 16th for 6th/7th graders) at Goddard. All three grades are tested in Reading, Writing, and Math. Eighth grade is also tested in Science. Please take note of the following information:
· CSAP scores become part of a student’s permanent record and at Goddard, scores are considered in placement decisions for ability-grouped classes.
· It is extremely important that all our students are in attendance each day during the testing week. Please make every effort to arrange your family schedule to minimize absences during testing.
· Make-up tests will be administered March 20-24.
· Our testing schedule has been designed to include electives and limited core time each day. All grade levels will have regular electives each day.
· On all testing days, school begins and ends at the usual times and busses will run as usual.
· Test schedules are available in Student Services and on the GMS website: http://goddard.littletonpublicschools.com for parents. This will help with any emergency plans that may arise.
· Student must use a #2 wooden pencil for the test. Mechanical pencils cannot be used on the test.
· We also ask that you make sure your student gets plenty of rest and a hardy breakfast each day to help them maintain optimum energy throughout the week.
THIS IS EACH STUDENT’S OPPORTUNITY TO DEMONSTRATE HIS OR HER PERSONAL BEST!!!
